Euskal Herria

I have been working remotely with clients and collaborators continuously since 2018. However, recently, I have decided to land in a permanent home in the Basque Country of France. To celebrate my newly adopted home, I created a series of looping animations to showcase our new surroundings. Cafes, beaches, mountains, castles, and a deep cultural heritage that I am just starting to discover. The following series will continue to be updated as my time here continues, and this project will  be a living journal of the places I discover, that inspire me, and make us feel at home.

Part creative exercise, part escape from other projects, this project took place during a one week window between other jobs. It was a perfect opportunity for me to go to my favorite spots and observe, draw, abstract, and show them through my eyes. There is so much color, texture, joy, and character that surrounds me in this little corner of the world that I wanted to illustrate in my unique style. To see more of the behind the scenes and specific descriptions for each place I have created animations for, head over to the Ambient Press page here.
